2027: NELFUND Beneficiaries in Anambra Donate ₦10.7m to Support Tinubu’s Second Term Bid

Beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) in Anambra State have declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term ambition, donating a total of ₦10.7 million towards his 2027 expression of interest form.

The donation was presented on Friday at the Igbariam campus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, where the students gathered to express appreciation for the impact of the loan scheme on their academic pursuits.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council in Anambra State, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, said the endorsement reflected the collective position of beneficiaries of the schemWest5

“We, the beneficiaries of the NELFUND scheme, are collectively endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office,” he stated.

Chukwuemeka explained that the sum of ₦10,735,500 contributed by the students was a symbolic gesture of gratitude for the administration’s education-focused initiatives, particularly the student loan programme which has improved access to higher education and reduced financial pressure on students.

He noted that the intervention has enabled many indigent students to remain in school and complete their studies without the burden of tuition-related challenges.

The students commended the Federal Government for prioritising youth development through policies aimed at expanding educational opportunities, urging the continuation of such programmes in the years ahead.

NELFUND, introduced as part of the Tinubu administration’s reforms in the education sector, is designed to provide financial support to students in tertiary institutions across the country.
