Kogi PDP Chairman Backs Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for 2027, Describes Her as ‘Incomparable’

The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has endorsed Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for a second term in 2027, describing her as an “incomparable” lawmaker whose performance has set a new benchmark in the state’s democratic history.

Hon. Gambo made the declaration on Friday while receiving a delegation of party members on a courtesy visit at the PDP secretariat in Lokoja.

He hailed the senator as a visionary and timely leader, asserting that her contributions to Kogi Central and the state at large cannot be compromised for political expediency.

According to him, Akpoti-Uduaghan stands out as the most outstanding legislator Kogi State has produced since Nigeria’s return to democratic rule in 1999.

Describing her as a “rare breed politician,” the PDP chairman commended her commitment to party development, noting that she has consistently supported the party’s activities and demonstrated dependable leadership.

“She has displayed exceptional leadership. When she speaks, members listen. At the state level, she remains our leader, and we are proud of her stewardship,” Gambo stated.

He further noted that her performance in the 10th National Assembly has exceeded expectations, adding that her first term has been defined by visible achievements that have elevated the profile of Kogi Central nationally.

Gambo pointed to her wide-ranging empowerment initiatives, including support for widows, orphans, and vulnerable groups, as well as the distribution of tricycles, motorcycles, and financial assistance to small-scale entrepreneurs. He also highlighted her contributions to education through the donation of laptops and improvements in infrastructure such as schools, roads, and markets.

“Her impact is evident across the district. Her integrity is unquestionable, and her record remains unblemished. In just two years, she has delivered projects with a level of vision and quality that is difficult to match,” he said.

Reaffirming the party’s position, Gambo described the senator as irreplaceable and urged voters in Kogi Central to remain steadfast in their support ahead of the 2027 elections.

“We cannot afford to change a winning team. Another term will allow for consolidation and even greater impact. She remains the best option for the PDP, and 2027 will be decisive,” he added.

He called on party members to close ranks and rally behind the senator, describing her as a unifying force whose leadership continues to inspire confidence and progress across the state.
