Nasarawa 2027: Prof. M.S. Haruna Denies Pact Rumours, Confirms Interest in APC Governorship Primaries

Engr. Prof. Mohammad Sani Haruna has dismissed reports alleging that he signed a written agreement to support any governorship candidate endorsed by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, describing the claim as false and misleading.

In a statement issued to supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Haruna said the allegation was a deliberate attempt to misinform the public and create unnecessary tension within the ruling party.

He stated that while he strongly believes in accepting divine destiny, particularly in electoral matters, there was never any formal or binding agreement committing him or his political structure to support a predetermined candidate.

Haruna challenged those promoting the claim to present credible evidence, insisting that no such document exists.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the APC, the governorship aspirant said he remains committed to the party and has no intention of defecting to any other political platform

He added that he would support whoever emerges through a transparent and credible process, while pledging to mobilise his supporters for the party’s success in the general election.

Haruna also cautioned against what he described as divisive propaganda, accusing unnamed individuals of attempting to undermine party unity ahead of the 2027 governorship race.

He concluded by formally declaring his intention to contest in the forthcoming APC governorship primaries in Nasarawa State, expressing confidence in his chances and urging supporters to remain focused and united.
