A leading Isoko industrialist and philanthropist, Chief Daniel Omoyibo, has urged the people of Isoko Nation to unite politically and support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Omoyibo, popularly called Danmotech, made the declaration during a courtesy visit by Senator Joel-Onowakpo in Oleh.

The senator’s visit was part of ongoing consultations with stakeholders on the unity, political direction and development of Isoko Nation.

Omoyibo said the people of Isoko must avoid political fragmentation if they are to maximise opportunities for development.

He specifically urged the people to support the APC, Governor Oborevwori and Senator Joel-Onowakpo.

“Let us not go into opposition. Let us queue behind the Governor and our own son, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, to consolidate on the good work he has started. That is how Isoko will develop,” he stated.

According to him, the unity of political leaders, traditional stakeholders, youths, professionals and other groups would strengthen Isoko’s ability to attract development.

He also pointed to the Federal Medical Centre, Oleh, as an example of the potential benefits of strategic representation.

Omoyibo commended Senator Joel-Onowakpo for sponsoring the Federal Medical Centre Act (Amendment) Bill, 2023 (SB. 197), which paved the way for the establishment of the federal tertiary healthcare institution in Oleh.

The bill was introduced in the Senate on November 7, 2023, passed second reading on October 22, 2024, and later passed by the National Assembly before it was signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The FMC is expected to improve access to specialised healthcare while providing employment and boosting economic activities in Delta South.

Omoyibo said the project would benefit not only patients but also medical professionals, youths, entrepreneurs and businesses in the region.

In his remarks, Senator Joel-Onowakpo thanked Omoyibo for his continued philanthropy and commitment to the development of Isoko Nation.

He said he would remain committed to pursuing strategic federal projects, interventions and legislation designed to improve the lives of his constituents.

The engagement ended with a shared appeal for unity, cooperation and collective action as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.
