His Royal Majesty, Dr. Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, CFR, the revered Ata Igala, has announced the coronation ceremony of Chief Dr. Isa Egah Salifu as Abeneche Ata Igala (Eedeee).
Chief Dr. Isa Egah Salifu, who holds the esteemed titles of Omachi Ejeh Dekina (Waali) and Akingbade of Ekinrin-Adde (Kabiyesi), will be formally decorated with this new honour on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Ata Igala’s Palace in Idah, Kogi State. The ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM prompt.
According to the royal invite, the event will be graced by dignitaries, traditional leaders, and well-wishers from across the country. Following the official coronation, a royal reception and cultural performance will take place immediately at Chief Salifu’s country home in Agbeji, Anyigba.
The Ata Igala’s recognition of Chief Dr. Isa Egah Salifu with the prestigious title of Abeneche Ata Igala reflects his remarkable service to the Igala Kingdom and beyond.
