Former England striker Peter Crouch has tipped Manchester United to beat Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League showdown this weekend, while forecasting a high-scoring draw between Liverpool and Manchester City.
Speaking on the Peter Crouch Podcast, the ex-Liverpool forward believes United will carry their recent momentum into Saturday’s fixture at Old Trafford.
“Michael Carrick has got the bounce at the moment, and that is why I think it will be a Manchester United win, personally,” Crouch said.
“I am going to go with 2-0 to United.”
The former international also weighed in on Sunday’s heavyweight clash between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield, predicting goals at both ends.
“This is always a tough one, isn’t it? I would like to go for 2-2 because it is working for me, and I can just see it,” he added.
“I am going to go with Hugo Ekitike to score first.”
With Matchday 25 approaching, several key fixtures could shape the title race and relegation battle, with Arsenal currently leading the standings, followed closely by Manchester City and Aston Villa.
