Abuja, April 12, 2025 – In a bold declaration of support, the Arewa Youths for Peaceful Coexistence have passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR. The announcement was made during a press briefing held at the group’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Office in Abuja.

Addressing members of the press, the National President of the Arewa Youths, Alhaji Bature Haruna, stated that the decision followed a thorough and objective assessment of Dr. Ganduje’s leadership since he assumed office in August 2023.

According to him, under Ganduje’s stewardship, the APC has secured four out of five victories in recent off-cycle governorship elections—in Kogi, Imo, Edo, and Ondo States. These successes, he noted, are a testament to the chairman’s strategic leadership and dedication to party unity.

“Dr. Ganduje has shown uncommon leadership by strengthening internal democracy, promoting youth and women inclusion, and building consensus across the APC,” Haruna said. “He has resolved internal party disputes and fostered stability at both national and state levels.”

The FCT Coordinator of the group, Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah, commended the APC for its inclusive governance approach, specifically acknowledging the role of the party in supporting the appointment of His Excellency Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

“Minister Wike’s performance has been nothing short of transformative. His impact in just eleven months proves that service to Nigeria can transcend political party lines,” Ogah remarked.

Concluding the event, the group reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC and pledged to continue mobilizing young people across the North and beyond in support of peace, unity, and democratic governance.

“We proudly declare our total support for the APC and its national leadership under Dr. Ganduje,” the group stated. “Together, we can build a stronger and more united Nigeria.”

The press conference drew attention from political observers and media outlets, highlighting the growing influence of youth voices in shaping Nigeria’s political future.
