The Kogi State Council of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria has formally decorated Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah, MD/CEO of ANAROCK Global PLC, as a State Patron of the organization. The decoration took place during a ceremonial gathering held yesterday, although the honoree was unavoidably absent. He was ably represented by Mr. Felix Akor, the Principal of Ogah Memorial College, Idah, Kogi State.
In a letter dated May 19, 2025, and signed by Hon. Justice Ester O. Haruna (Rtd), President of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Kogi State Council, Hon. Ogah’s nomination was confirmed following a recent resolution by the State Executive Council of the organization.
According to the letter, the Boys’ Brigade is an international, interdenominational voluntary Christian uniform youth organization dedicated to nurturing boys into God-fearing, disciplined, and useful citizens to the Church, family, and society at large. The letter expressed the Council’s confidence in Hon. Ogah’s commitment to youth and children’s development and his dedication to the things of God as strong reasons for his selection.
The organization noted that in Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo serves as the Grand Patron, while His Excellency Eld. Comr. Oyibo Salifu is the current Vice President representing Kogi East.
In her remarks, Hon. Justice Ester Haruna stated:
“We have no doubt that in view of your love for children/youths development and the things of God, you will accept this invitation to serve in that capacity.”
Hon. Ogah’s nomination as State Patron is seen as a significant step in promoting youth development, Christian values across the state and commitment to education and mentorship, particularly in his home constituency.
The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude and assurances of ongoing collaboration between the organization and Hon. Ogah.
