Hon. Mark Okpanachi Ogah has joined millions of Catholics and people of goodwill around the world in mourning the death of the Holy Father, the Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church.
In a heartfelt condolence message released to the press, Hon. Ogah described the Pope as a “global symbol of peace, humility, and unwavering faith,” whose leadership shaped the spiritual direction of the Church and offered hope to humanity in times of moral confusion.
“This is a moment of deep sorrow, not just for the Catholic faithful but for all who admired the Pope’s courage, wisdom, and compassionate leadership. His Holiness lived a life of service, devotion, and truth. His words and actions have left an indelible mark on our world,” he said.
Hon. Ogah extended his sympathies to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), the Vatican, and Catholics across the globe, praying for the peaceful repose of the Pope’s soul and strength for the Church in this period of transition.
He further urged Nigerians to reflect on the Pope’s legacy and emulate his virtues of love, forgiveness, and selfless service.
