Mark Okpanachi Ogah has commissioned a newly constructed borehole for the Angwa Community in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State. The water project, which is strategically located at Ogah Memorial Secondary School, is aimed at alleviating the age-long hardship faced by residents due to lack of access to clean and safe water.
For decades, the Angwa Community has struggled with water scarcity, forcing many residents—especially women and children—to travel long distances in search of water. The new borehole brings a significant relief not just to the households in the area, but also to students and staff of the host school who have also been affected by the challenge.
While addressing the enthusiastic crowd during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Ogah expressed his deep concern over the community’s prolonged struggle for potable water.
