Human rights activist and Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore, has vowed to institute a multi-billion naira lawsuit against those he holds responsible for his ordeal in a cybercrime case filed against him by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, shortly after securing a major victory in court on Thursday.

In a viral video posted on Symfoni moments after the court’s landmark ruling in his favour, Sowore, who has been a thorn in the flesh of the establishment with his relentless #RevolutionNow campaigns, could not hide his elation as he hinted at aggressive legal retaliation, insisting that no amount of money, not even ₦100 billion, could match the value of his dented integrity or compensate for the emotional and financial toll on his family.

The firebrand activist, whose passport was seized as part of the protracted legal battle that dragged on for months, explained in the video that the court’s decision paves the way for the immediate administrative return of his international travel document, describing the process as a mere mechanical formality that would soon see him back on the global stage.
