Dantalle Bags Leadership Award July 30

The National Chairman of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, is set to be honoured with a prestigious leadership award, “Beacon of Hope,” by the Northern People’s Front (NPF) on July 30.

The planned honour was conveyed in an award letter presented during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Northern People’s Front to the APM national headquarters in the Central Business District, Abuja.

The delegation, led by the convener of the group, Ali Abacha, met with Dantalle at his office where the award notification was formally delivered.

The group congratulated Dantalle, who also serves as Chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), describing him as an exemplary leader whose style of leadership has continued to attract admiration across the country.

Speaking during the presentation, Abacha said the decision to honour the APM National Chairman followed careful observation of his achievements and commitment since assuming office.

According to him, Dantalle has demonstrated purposeful, people-centred and visionary leadership, driven by integrity and the fear of God.

“With purposeful, people-centred, visionary and above all, God-fearing leadership style, you have distinguished yourself as a worthy leader,” Abacha stated.

He noted that the Northern People’s Front, as a body of objective, patriotic and progressive leaders from Northern Nigeria, remains committed to encouraging public office holders who see leadership as a sacred trust.

“As watchdogs and an assemblage of forward-looking leaders of Northern extraction, our objective is to encourage public officers who understand that public office is a trust that must not be betrayed. This is a test you have successfully passed,” he added.

Abacha further explained that recent political developments in the country, coupled with Dantalle’s credibility and integrity, have increased public confidence in the Allied People’s Movement as a formidable opposition platform.

He described Dantalle as a rare breed politician, a consummate leader, and a strong believer in the unity and progress of Nigeria.

He further stated that the APM chairman is widely respected for his integrity and has become a role model for emerging political leaders.

“For all your qualities and your relentless efforts towards making Nigeria a better place, we are proud to inform you that you have been nominated for the prestigious Beacon of Hope Award purely on merit,” the letter stated.

The award ceremony is expected to attract political stakeholders, party leaders and dignitaries from across the country.
