The Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, has urged political support groups backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify grassroots mobilisation and enlighten Nigerians on the achievements of the administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Solomon made the call in Asaba, Delta State, while addressing representatives of more than 35 support groups during a strategic meeting.
He said many Nigerians were yet to fully appreciate the economic and security challenges inherited by the Tinubu administration when it assumed office in May 2023.
According to him, the country was facing severe economic and security difficulties at the time, requiring bold decisions to prevent further deterioration.

“The country was in intensive care economically and security-wise. Bold decisions needed to be made to bring Nigeria back from the brink,” he said.
Solomon identified the removal of the petrol subsidy, moves towards state police and the introduction of the student loan scheme as some of the major policy initiatives of the administration.
He said the student loan scheme had provided relief to parents and students, while expressing optimism that the country was gradually returning to prosperity.
The Delta coordinator charged support-group leaders to educate citizens on the benefits of the Federal Government’s policies and the prospects for economic recovery.
“Our job is to enlighten the people on the dividends of those bold actions and the positive outlook ahead so they can make a more informed decision come 2027,” he said.
Solomon described Nigeria as a country undergoing reconstruction and argued that the process required sufficient time to achieve its intended objectives.
“Nigeria is in the process of reconstruction, and the task requires time to be fully accomplished. That is why President Tinubu should be voted for a second term to enable him complete the job,” he said.
On security, he said the constitutional process towards allowing states to establish their own police forces would provide subnational governments with greater control over their security architecture.
He argued that state policing, once established, could enable states to respond more directly to security challenges and address some weaknesses associated with the current centralised policing system.
Solomon also clarified that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors was not running the affairs of the All Progressives Congress, APC, but was supporting the party and the Tinubu administration.
He described members of the group as “foot soldiers” tasked with propagating the President’s achievements and mobilising grassroots support.
“We are the foot soldiers to propagate Tinubu’s accomplishments. The APC remains the only stable platform to get Nigeria back on track,” he said.
He further listed the student loan scheme and what he described as stability in the academic calendar of Nigerian universities since 2023 among the administration’s achievements.
The strategic meeting, he said, was designed to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and ensure that Nigerians were adequately informed about the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
