APC Names Prince Michael Ojotule South-South Coordinator for Ododo/Oyibo 2027 Campaign

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Prince Michael Ojotule as the South-South Coordinator for the re-election campaign of Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, and Deputy Governor, Joel Salifu Oyibo, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The appointment has been welcomed by APC members and supporters across the South-South region, particularly among the Kogi community in Rivers State, who described it as a recognition of Ojotule’s dedication to grassroots mobilisation and party development.

Prince Ojotule, who is the Kogi State Coordinator of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju and North Central Alliance (SWAGA/NCA), has played an active role in mobilising support for the Ododo/Oyibo administration across Rivers State and other parts of the South-South, according to party stakeholders.

A former aspirant for the House of Representatives to represent Idah Federal Constituency, Ojotule is regarded within APC circles as an experienced political organiser with a strong grassroots network.

In a statement, APC leaders and members in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State congratulated Ojotule on the appointment, describing it as well deserved and a reflection of his commitment to the party’s ideals.

The group expressed confidence that his experience and leadership would enhance the party’s mobilisation efforts across the South-South region as preparations gradually gather momentum for the 2027 elections in Kogi State.

“We congratulate Prince Michael Ojotule on this appointment and are confident that he will justify the confidence reposed in him. We pledge our support and cooperation as he undertakes this important assignment,” the statement said.

Supporters further expressed optimism that the new coordinator would strengthen party structures, deepen stakeholder engagement, and consolidate support for the Ododo/Oyibo administration across the South-South geopolitical zone.
