APC Primaries: Rep Ari Laments Uncertainty Over Political Support in Toto LG

….Accuses Allies of Political Irrelevance, corporate begging

The member representing Toto/Nasarawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mohammed Abdulmumini Ari, has reportedly expressed frustration over the political situation in Toto Local Government Area ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.

Hon. Ari was quoted as saying that despite spending money to mobilise stakeholders in the area, he could no longer clearly determine the political direction of the local government.

According to sources, the lawmaker lamented that several individuals had approached him requesting financial support to allegedly settle stakeholders in preparation for the APC primary election.

He reportedly complained that even after providing funds, he remained uncertain about the loyalty and commitment of those claiming to support his third-term ambition.

The federal lawmaker was said to have described some of the individuals around him as politically irrelevant, while accusing others of being habitual beneficiaries who constantly demand financial assistance without delivering political value.

Ari was further quoted as saying that he was advised against engaging directly with the grassroots and real electorate ahead of the primary election, a situation he now believes may have negatively affected his political calculations.

“This is the first time I am experiencing this kind of situation politically,” he was quoted as saying.
