Veteran Nigerian filmmaker, Wale Adenuga, has provided fresh insight into the circumstances that led to the dismissal of actor Abiodun Ayoyinka from the widely acclaimed television series, Papa Ajasco.

Adenuga’s clarification follows recent public comments by Ayoyinka, who lamented his financial difficulties despite attaining fame through his role in the iconic comedy show.

In an interview with the PUNCH, the respected filmmaker disclosed that Ayoyinka’s initial exit from the programme was not arbitrary, but rather the result of what he described as serious misconduct.

According to Adenuga, the actor’s actions at the time were deemed a betrayal that posed a significant threat to the credibility and integrity of the Papa Ajasco brand, necessitating decisive action by the production team.
