Iya II Youths Rally Support for Accord Party’s Yakubu Atiku Abdulrahman Ahead of 2027 Keffi West Assembly Election
The political atmosphere in Iya II Ward of Keffi Local Government Area came alive on Friday night as youths and grassroots leaders intensified mobilization efforts in support of Accord Party’s candidate for the Keffi West Constituency seat in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Yakubu Atiku Abdulrahman, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The gathering, which attracted youth leaders, party stakeholders, and representatives from various polling units across the ward, signaled growing support for Atiku Abdulrahman as residents seek a new direction in the political representation of Keffi West Constituency.
The meeting was held under the leadership of the Accord Party in Iya II Ward and featured the complete youth leadership structure of the ward, including coordinators and leaders from all polling units.
Participants deliberated on strategies for strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and ensuring effective mobilization ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Speaking during the meeting, party leaders emphasized the need for unity, collective responsibility, and active participation of young people in the political process.
They described Abdulrahman as a credible and grassroots-oriented leader capable of providing effective representation and attracting meaningful development projects to the constituency.
The group, many of whose members recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals and vision of the Accord Party.
They pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the party records a resounding victory in Iya II Ward and across Keffi West Constituency in 2027.
Discussions during the meeting centered on fostering unity among party members, expanding the party’s support base, empowering young people to participate in governance, and developing practical strategies to address the challenges facing communities within the constituency.

At the end of the meeting, members resolved to intensify grassroots engagement across all polling units and communities within the ward.
They also reiterated their determination to build a stronger, more inclusive, and progressive Keffi West Constituency where the interests of all residents are adequately represented.
The youths expressed confidence that with sustained mobilization and unity of purpose, the Accord Party and its candidate would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections and usher in a new era of development and effective representation for the people of Keffi West Constituency.
