Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Dr Maurice Ojoede, has congratulated the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, on his emergence as the recipient of the “Minister of the Decade” award presented by the Daily Times.

Keyamo received the prestigious honour on Thursday in Abuja during the Daily Times Centenary Celebration, organised to mark the newspaper’s 100 years of existence.

The recognition highlighted the minister’s contributions to public service, national development and the advancement of Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The Daily Times had earlier listed Keyamo among the recipients of its DTN@100 Heroes Awards, describing the initiative as part of activities marking the newspaper’s centenary.

Ojoede Hails Keyamo’s Commitment to National Service

In his congratulatory message, Ojoede described the award as a fitting recognition of Keyamo’s commitment to national service and his efforts towards transforming Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace industry.

According to him, the significance of the award was further enhanced by the fact that it came from an institution with a century-long history of documenting Nigeria’s political, economic and social development.

Ojoede said Keyamo’s recognition should serve as an inspiration to other public officials to remain committed to excellence, innovation and dedicated service to the nation.

He commended the minister for what he described as his contributions to the development of the aviation sector and expressed optimism that Keyamo would continue to contribute meaningfully to the transformation of Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace industry.

Ojoede Wishes Keyamo More Success

Ojoede, a business tycoon, founder of Omo Foundation and Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Kinging Logistics and Automobiles Ltd, wished the minister continued success in office.

He expressed confidence that Keyamo’s leadership would further support the growth, development and transformation of Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace industry.

The Daily Times, which commenced publication in 1926, has described its centenary awards as an initiative to honour Nigerians and institutions whose leadership, public service, enterprise and innovation have contributed significantly to national development.

Keyamo’s “Minister of the Decade” recognition therefore adds to the centenary celebration’s broader effort to spotlight individuals whose contributions have made an impact on Nigeria’s development journey.
