Onyesom, Wife Receive Distinguished Benefactor Award at St. Theresa Catholic Church Dedication

The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security and Omenosa of Umukwata, Chief Isaac Onyesom, and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Nkem Onyesom, have been honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Benefactor Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the Catholic Church.

The award was presented on Sunday during the dedication ceremony of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Obinomba, in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.

Presenting the award, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Warri, Anthony Ewherido, commended the couple for their generosity, unwavering support, and commitment to the advancement of the Church and the propagation of the Christian faith.

According to the Parish Priest of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Mine Ainabe, the award was a special recognition reserved for individuals whose sacrifices and dedication have made significant and lasting impacts on the life of the Church.

He noted that Chief and Mrs. Onyesom have consistently demonstrated exceptional devotion to the Church through their numerous acts of support and service, describing them as worthy recipients of the honour.

The dedication ceremony, which attracted clergy, parishioners, community leaders, family members, friends and well-wishers, marked a historic milestone for the Catholic faithful in Obinomba.

Speaking after receiving the award, Chief Onyesom expressed gratitude to God and the Church for the recognition, reaffirming his commitment to supporting the work of God.

The event was filled with thanksgiving, prayers and celebration as members of the congregation rejoiced over the successful completion and dedication of the church edifice.
