SOLUDO CHALLENGES ‘MIRACLE’ CLAIMS, ASKS PASTORS TO PROVE HEALINGS AT HOSPITAL

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has challenged clerics who claim to perform miracles to demonstrate their powers at a public health facility, specifically the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku.

The governor threw the challenge during a church programme, where he reiterated his administration’s resolve to rid the state of fraudulent religious practices.

According to him, several individuals posing as pastors and bishops have already been arrested as part of an ongoing crackdown aimed at sanitising the religious space in Anambra.

“We’ve arrested fake pastors and bishops. Whoever wants to perform a miracle should come to Amaku Hospital,” Soludo declared.

He stressed that the move was not targeted at genuine religious leaders, but rather at individuals exploiting unsuspecting members of the public under the guise of spirituality.

The governor maintained that his administration remains committed to upholding law and order while protecting residents from deception and exploitation.

The Anambra Governor’s remarks come amid increasing concerns over the proliferation of self-acclaimed miracle workers and the need for greater accountability within religious institutions.

He reaffirmed that the state government would continue to take decisive action against fraudulent activities, regardless of the sector in which they occur.
