Special Adviser to the Interim National Chairman of the Labour Party, Nenadi Usman, Ken Asogwa, has slammed the Julius Abure-led faction over accusations of invading the party’s secretariat.

Naija News recall that the Julius Abure-led faction of the party on Tuesday accused Senator Nenadi-Usman’s faction of invading the party’s Secretariat at night and carting away valuables.

However, Asogwa, while responding to questions in an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday, said those who accused the faction of invasion were actually the hoodlums who illegally invaded the party’s National Secretariat at night.

According to Asogwu, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has acknowledged the January 30, 2026, Federal High Court judgment that recognised Nenadi Usman as the Labour Party’s chairman.

He said, “So the people who are saying that we invaded our secretariat are actually the hoodlums who tried to invade our headquarters in the dead of the night to reclaim the National Secretariat of the party.

“On 30 January, 2026, just about a week after the judgment was delivered, INEC uploaded Nenadi-Usman on their records.

“INEC just about four days ago, invited her to a quarterly consultative meeting that INEC chairman always has with leaders of political parties.

“So on that note, we resumed office in our National Secretariat on Tuesday to carry out our duties as the chairman of the Labour Party as ordered by the Federal High Court of Nigeria.”
