Tragedy as LAUTECH Graduate Dies Day After Convocation

Tragedy has struck Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, following the sudden death of a fresh graduate barely 24 hours after his convocation ceremony.

The deceased, identified as Tomisin, reportedly slumped while playing a friendly football match for Saints FC in Ogbomoso on Thursday morning.

Efforts to revive him proved unsuccessful, and he was later confirmed dead.

The young graduate had just celebrated the milestone of completing his academic programme with family and friends, in what was meant to be a joyous moment.

He was also described as a passionate footballer, actively pursuing a career in the sport and preparing for a potential scouting opportunity.

His sudden death has plunged the university community, friends, and residents of Ogbomoso into mourning, with many expressing shock over the incident, which occurred less than a day after his convocation.

Football activities in the town have reportedly been suspended in his honour, as tributes continue to pour in from across the community.
