The organisation points to humanitarian outreach, youth empowerment and grassroots engagement as key elements of its DG’s leadership profile.
The APC Youth Network West Africa has congratulated its Director-General, Hon. Olatunde Gideon Igbasan, following his appearance on the circulated list of the proposed PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
Igbasan, known by his popular name, Tula Mania, is listed as Member No. 54 in the proposed Directorate of Youth Mobilisation.
The announcement has been welcomed by the organisation as an encouraging development for its members and supporters, particularly those working to strengthen youth participation, grassroots development and community-focused leadership.
In its congratulatory message, the network highlighted Igbasan’s reported involvement in humanitarian and empowerment programmes, including weekly food outreach, support for vulnerable communities and initiatives designed to engage and empower young people.
The organisation said these activities form part of a leadership philosophy that places service to humanity at the centre of political participation.
With its stated reach extending across Nigeria and West Africa, the network also used the occasion to acknowledge the efforts of community volunteers, grassroots organisers and party loyalists whose work supports political engagement at the local level.
The group said the proposed listing should not be regarded solely as an individual milestone but also as an opportunity to encourage cooperation and collective service.
Across West Africa, youth participation remains an important subject in conversations about political representation, democratic inclusion and socioeconomic development. Political organisations that engage young people at the grassroots can create opportunities for dialogue and wider participation in public life.
Against this backdrop, the APC Youth Network West Africa said it was encouraged by Igbasan’s appearance on the proposed campaign council list.
Nevertheless, the organisation acknowledged that the listing remains subject to official confirmation.
It congratulated its Director-General and expressed optimism about the proposed role, while reaffirming its appreciation for the many individuals contributing to the organisation’s activities.
The group concluded its message with congratulations to Igbasan, describing the moment as one that should inspire unity, service and continued commitment to community development.
