The people of Kogi East Senatorial District have been urged to remain calm, strategic and resilient in the face of the unfolding political realities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Coordinator of the Tinubu/Echocho Greater Movement, Comrade Amade Ibrahim, made the call while addressing journalists in Idah, headquarters of the Igala Kingdom, Kogi State.

Amade said the people of Kogi East had witnessed the capacity, experience and developmental contributions of Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho, stressing that his return to the Senate would provide the district with the opportunity to have a ranking senator capable of attracting greater political influence, federal attention and meaningful development.

According to him, any attempt to undermine the choice and democratic will of the majority of the people would be met with lawful and democratic resistance.

He therefore appealed to other senatorial aspirants and political stakeholders to unite behind Senator Echocho, saying such unity would enable the Igala Kingdom and Kogi East to speak with one voice and pursue a common direction for greater development and opportunities.

The Coordinator also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the administration’s ongoing reforms, which he said were aimed at improving the welfare and living conditions of Nigerians.

Amade appealed to the President to remember the loyalty and support demonstrated by the people of Kogi East during the 2023 general elections, when the All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded significant victories across various elective positions in the senatorial district.

He further commended the national leadership of the APC for recognising the character, capacity and contributions of Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho, expressing confidence that another opportunity to serve would enable the senator to achieve even more for the people of Kogi East.

Amade maintained that the people of Kogi East understood the importance of experience, unity and effective representation, declaring:

“The Echocho in me, the Echocho in you, and the Echocho in all of us is about unity, resilience, progress and the collective determination to move Kogi East forward in 2027.”

He urged political stakeholders and residents of the district to remain united and focused as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
