Chief Frank Ozue has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Isoko North II Constituency of the Delta State House of Assembly ahead of the February 6, 2027 general election.

Ozue, who was the consensus candidate of the party, secured the APC ticket after polling 6,846 votes at the party’s primary election held on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

The primary election was conducted at the Executive Council Chambers of the Isoko North Local Government Council in Ozoro.

Declaring the result, the Presiding Officer of the primary, Hon. James Augoye, said Ozue satisfied the requirements of the APC Constitution and the party’s electoral guidelines.

Augoye subsequently declared Ozue the winner of the exercise and the duly nominated APC candidate for the Isoko North II Constituency election.

Ozue’s Political Experience

Ozue’s emergence further strengthens his political profile and grassroots experience in Isoko North.

Before securing the APC ticket, he served as Vice Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council.

He also served as Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, a position through which he acquired experience in local government administration, political mobilisation and grassroots engagement.

His emergence followed an earlier endorsement by the APC leadership in Isoko North during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Friday at the country home of the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, in Erawha-Owhe.

APC Leaders Witness Primary Declaration

The declaration of Ozue as the APC candidate was witnessed by prominent party leaders and stakeholders from Isoko North.

Those present included Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko; Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Prince Godwin Ogorugba; Executive Director, Finance and Administration, DESOPADEC, Chief Kome Okpobor; and Chairman of the Isoko North APC, Mr. Sunday Omonakome, among others.

The development is expected to further shape the political contest for the Isoko North II Assembly seat ahead of the 2027 election.

Ozue Thanks Oborevwori, APC Stakeholders

Speaking after his declaration, Ozue expressed appreciation to Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as the leadership and stakeholders of the APC in Isoko North for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to justify the confidence of the party and promised to work closely with APC leaders and stakeholders to advance the growth and development of the constituency if elected.

Ozue also appealed for unity and continued cooperation among party members, stressing that collective efforts would be necessary to secure victory for the APC in the February 6, 2027 election.

He said effective representation of the people of Isoko North II would remain a priority, while calling on party members to close ranks and work together toward the success of the party.

The emergence of Ozue now positions the APC for the next phase of its campaign and mobilisation ahead of the Delta State House of Assembly election.
