The All Progressives Congress Youth Network West Africa (APCYN-WA) has continued its food outreach programme, with the initiative providing food support to members of the public over several weeks.
The programme, sponsored by the organisation’s Director-General, Honourable Olatunde Igbasan, in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is aimed at supporting people in need and demonstrating concern for the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
The ongoing initiative has been described by APCYN-WA official Honourable Bolowotan as evidence of Igbasan’s commitment to putting the people first.

Bolowotan said Igbasan’s personal background has played a significant role in his understanding of the challenges facing ordinary Nigerians.

He explained that the APCYN-WA Director-General did not grow up with a silver spoon and therefore understands the difficulties experienced by people who struggle to meet their daily needs.
According to him, Igbasan has chosen to deploy his position and resources towards supporting people who require assistance.
Commitment Beyond Words
Bolowotan said the continuation of the food outreach over several weeks demonstrates that Igbasan’s concern for the less privileged goes beyond mere statements.
He said the initiative was designed to make a practical contribution to the welfare of beneficiaries by providing food support and creating a direct connection between the organisers and members of the public.
He stressed that the programme was driven by a desire to make a positive impact in society.
The official said initiatives of this nature are important because they allow people with the capacity to support others to contribute directly to community welfare.
Giving Back to Society
The APCYN-WA food outreach is part of the organisation’s continuing engagement with members of the ypublic.
Bolowotan said Igbasan believes that people in positions of responsibility should use their opportunities to support society, particularly those who may be facing difficult circumstances.
He noted that the food distribution programme has provided relief to beneficiaries while also reinforcing the importance of compassion and community support.
He called on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the initiative by identifying practical ways to support vulnerable people within their communities.
The APCYN-WA food outreach is expected to remain part of the organisation’s people-oriented activities as it continues its engagement with communities.
