2027: City Boy Movement Mobilises for Tinubu, Ododo Re-election as Kogi Chapter Inaugurates State, LGA Executives

The Kogi State Chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising widespread grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration was made during an interactive session with members of the movement drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State, held on Sunday at AKK Hotel, Lokoja, where the newly constituted state and local government executives of the organisation were officially inaugurated.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Director General of the Kogi State Chapter of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Ogah Mark Okpanachi, said the organisation has successfully established strong political structures across the state and is strategically positioned to contribute significantly to the electoral success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

Okpanachi stressed that the movement was not created to compete with any existing political support group but to complement the efforts of the APC and other stakeholders in promoting the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration.

According to him, unity, collaboration and sustained mobilisation remain the movement’s guiding principles.

“Our major task now is to ensure that we deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the 2027 elections. That remains our collective responsibility,” he declared.

He charged the newly inaugurated executives at both the state and local government levels to work closely with APC leadership in their respective councils by intensifying grassroots sensitisation, public enlightenment campaigns and community engagement programmes that would further popularise the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Director General explained that the City Boy Movement is a non-partisan support platform established to promote the policies, programmes and developmental vision of President Tinubu while encouraging broader citizen participation in governance.

He commended members across Kogi State for their loyalty, resilience and commitment to the movement, urging them to remain focused on the collective objective of ensuring victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Kogi State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Jerry Olayemi, described Kogi State as the “second home” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing the growing political awareness, expanding membership and increasing grassroots mobilisation taking place across the state’s 21 local government areas.
