Madrasatu Darul Quranil Karim Lafia has recorded significant growth since its establishment 11 years ago, expanding from just two students to more than 200 students.

The development was disclosed during the Third Edition and Graduation Ceremony of Qur’anic Memorization students held at the school premises in Project Quarters, Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Sunday.

The ceremony featured the graduation of 10 students who successfully completed the Qur’anic memorization programme.

Among the graduating students were Amina Ibrahim Balarabe and Halima Ibrahim Balarabe, daughters of former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.

The occasion was attended by the Nasarawa State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Ahmed Aliyu; former Speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi; Hon. Muhammad Garba Isimbabi; Hon. Muhammad Adamu Omadefu and other prominent personalities.

In their separate remarks, the dignitaries emphasised the importance of religious and moral education in raising responsible children.

They urged parents to complement formal education with religious instruction and proper moral upbringing, stressing that children require strong values and guidance to become productive members of society.

The dignitaries congratulated the graduating students and encouraged them to continue their educational and religious journey.

The ceremony also featured Qur’anic recitation and memorization, presentation of certificates, awards of recognition and prizes.

The management and Board of Trustees of the institution delivered goodwill messages and reflected on the school’s progress since its establishment.

The school’s growth from two students to more than 200, according to the information shared at the ceremony, was presented as an indication of increasing interest in Qur’anic education in the community.
