A new political movement supporting the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has expanded from what its convener described as a small initiative into a statewide structure covering all parts of Nasarawa State.
The convener of the Wadada Project 2027, Hon. Umar Danyaya Aliyu, younger brother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate and Senator representing Nasarawa West, disclosed this while addressing supporters at the Keffi Polo Ranch.
Umar said the movement started from “zero” but has gradually grown into a political project with supporters and coordinators across the state.

According to him, the initiative began as an idea driven by the conviction that Nasarawa State requires a leader capable of providing a new direction for the people.
He said the movement progressed from one committed individual to 15 patriots before expanding into a wider political organisation.
“Today, by the grace of God, we have members across the State, in all 147 electoral wards, in all the 18 development areas and in all the 13 local government areas,” Umar said.
He described Senator Wadada as a political asset whose time had come, urging supporters to promote the senator’s vision beyond the 2027 election cycle.
Umar also highlighted the HEARTS Agenda, describing the policy document as a blueprint capable of addressing some of the challenges confronting Nasarawa State.
He said the Wadada Project was different because of its grassroots structure and the commitment of its members.
According to him, the movement was not established around financial inducements but around conviction, strategy and what he described as genuine concern for the development of Nasarawa State.
The event was chaired by Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, Chairman of the Wadada Project, while Nasiru Abdullahi serves as secretary.

The occasion also featured the unveiling of ward coordinators, development area coordinators, local government coordinators, State Executive Council members and a 53-man media team.
Supporters and political stakeholders from different parts of Nasarawa attended the gathering.
With political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election gaining momentum, the emergence of the Wadada Project adds another dimension to the state’s increasingly competitive political landscape.
