Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico has described collective responsibility and grassroots engagement as key to achieving sustainable development in Okaba community.

Erico, who is the APC senatorial candidate for Kogi East for the 2027 general elections, stated this during the inauguration of the National Executive Council of the Okaba Community Development Association (OCDA) in Abuja.

According to a statement issued and signed by Hon. Matthew Ochada, Chief Press Secretary to Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, says he used the occasion to announce a ₦10 million financial intervention in support of OCDA’s development programmes.

The event attracted community leaders, traditional stakeholders and Okaba indigenes from different locations.

Erico said the development of Okaba required the involvement of stakeholders who were prepared to work together towards common objectives.

“By joining hands, we can systematically address critical infrastructure needs and drive meaningful development across Okaba and the entire Kogi East district.”

He maintained that his relationship with the community was based on more than financial support, stressing the importance of a lasting partnership built around shared progress.

Responding, OCDA President, Alhaji Usman Alfa, thanked Erico for the intervention.

Alfa said the ₦10 million contribution would provide additional support for the association’s strategic development plans.
